SENIOR SOUS CHEF – BEAUTIFUL 5* ISLAND RETREAT, MOZAMBIQUE
Wonderful opportunity for a talented experienced Senior Sous Chef who has previous experience as a Sous Chef of at least 3 years from a quality background with a proven track record!
Previous 5 Star Experience is required and preferably previous Bush lodge or Island Retreat experiences a plus with a love for nature and the environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent culinary skills and passion for fresh quality food and casual as well as formal dining.
They will have a proven track record working up to a position of Sous Chef or a number 2 position in a quality restaurant or junior sous within a luxury Five star Hotel environment and recognised Chef school qualification. A high degree of professionalism would be essential, due to the nature of the clientele and the open arena in which they operate. The person will work directly with the Executive Chef in planning Daily Changing gastronomic menus and the training of staff to standards.
Residing in a very beautiful and remote location should be viewed as a bonus.
We require someone who understands that living conditions in a remote area have different benefits and challenges to that of living in an urban environment, and who would be prepared to share accommodation with one other person should that be required.
SALARY: R12-16,000 per month, tax free with accommodation and flights provided too!
